Trust Review Service

The Fraser Heath Trust Review Service provides expert independent financial advice to both professional and private trustees. The trustees supply a copy of the trust document and Investment Policy Statement (IPS) to enable us to provide this service in the interest of continued due diligence. We then deliver a report which gives independent analysis and commentary as to both the investment suitability and tax efficiency of the trust.

Here at Fraser Heath our continued investment into leading technology enables us to analyse and interrogate the holdings of the trust. This is the first step to forming a view on the volatility taken by the designated investment manager to deliver the goals of the trust.

We can also give recommendations to the trustees regarding remedial action which will improve the tax efficiency of the trust and reduce investment risk through diversification.

Our Trust Review Service can deliver the following benefits to the trustees:

Risk health check - An independent view as to the level of volatility and diversification within the investment funds compared to the guidelines and goals set out in the IPS
Tax health check - An independent view as to the tax efficiency of the trust. Could more income be passed to beneficiaries through paying less tax? Has the trust been reviewed after the increases to CGT and income tax on Discretionary Trusts in recent years?
A second opinion – Is there a solution out there which could better meet the needs of the trust?
Peace of mind – Ensures that trustees are meeting obligations as set out in the Trustee Act 2000 by providing a clear audit trail

We cover the costs incurred analysing the investment holdings and formulating our reports by charging a fee based on an hourly rate. Our fee will depend on the size and complexity of the investment holdings and is clearly disclosed before any work is carried out.

We also offer a no obligation meeting with the trustees at our expense to outline the findings in the report in greater detail.
