Mark joined the world of finance in 1981, working for two leading insurance companies in several roles for a total of 13 years before joining an IFA firm in Bath in 1994. When that business was taken over four years later, Mark decided that his future and that of clients would be best served by moving to a more suitable environment and he joined The Whitehead Group. He subsequently became the Group’s Investment Manager and then, in March 2002 along with colleagues James Collier and Alan Loomes, he completed a Management Buyout and Fraser Heath was established.
As well as helping to run all aspects of the business, Mark’s key role is to oversee the investment advice process adopted by the Company. As a result, he spends a fair amount of time during the working week talking to fund managers, economists and colleagues about events and prospects for the various markets. This information is continually updated and reviewed and forms an important part of the strategy adopted by the team when managing our clients’ investment portfolios.
Away from the office, Mark enjoys most sport especially football and is Manager of his son’s local junior football team. He is also a keen supporter of Bristol City Football Club.
